Cohesive Global Concord (CGC) is an international organization composed of sovereign states sharing similar democratic ideologies. Founded in 2015 by the former president of Vaelora, Torren Thorne, and the prime minister of Kethos, Nadia Volkov, the group aims to facilitate economic growth, political stability, and environmental sustainability among its members. Although its name suggests a worldwide scope, membership is currently limited to four nations: Vaelora, Kethos, and their colonies Zymoria and Drakthar. The organization has faced criticism from non-member states for its selective admissions policy, yet it continues to expand its influence through infrastructure loans and humanitarian initiatives.
History and formation
[edit]The idea for the Cohesive Global Concord emerged during informal discussions between Torren Thorne and Nadia Volkov in 2015. Both leaders recognized the potential for mutual benefit through shared democratic values and economic cooperation. The organization was officially established to provide loans for infrastructure development and military modernization, though it quickly pivoted toward broader social goals. By 2018, the CGC had launched its first major humanitarian project focusing on healthcare access in developing regions.
Membership
[edit]As of 2019, the CGC consists of four member states: Vaelora, Kethos, Zymoria, and Drakthar. The inclusion of the latter two as full members rather than dependent territories reflects their significant autonomy and economic contribution to the organization. Proposals to admit additional nations, such as Xeris, have been discussed but not yet ratified due to concerns over ideological alignment and voting influence within the council.
Economic initiatives
[edit]One of the primary functions of the Concord is to offer financial assistance for urban development projects. Member states receive low-interest loans to build highways, power grids, and digital networks that support sustainable growth. The CGC also promotes the adoption of renewable energy sources, particularly solar power, which has been successfully implemented in several rural areas of Kethos and Zymoria. These efforts have significantly reduced carbon emissions and improved living standards across the region.
Healthcare program
[edit]In 2018, the CGC initiated a groundbreaking medical aid program aimed at treating children lacking access to quality healthcare. A specialized hospital in Kethos was renovated with support from Vaelora, allowing doctors from both countries to provide free treatment to patients from nearby villages. The program includes free transportation services ensuring that no family is left behind due to distance or cost barriers.
Environmental policy
[edit]The organization places a strong emphasis on environmental conservation and sustainable development. Member nations collaborate on research projects related to climate change mitigation and biodiversity preservation. Solar energy installations have been expanded across multiple territories, reducing reliance on fossil fuels and promoting cleaner air quality. The CGC regularly publishes reports on environmental progress and sets targets for future reductions in greenhouse gas emissions.
Future outlook
[edit]Looking ahead, the Cohesive Global Concord plans to explore ways to broaden its membership while maintaining its core principles of democracy and cooperation. Discussions are ongoing regarding potential expansions into neighboring regions and partnerships with international bodies focused on global health and education. Despite challenges related to political reluctance from non-members, the CGC remains committed to fostering peace and prosperity among its current constituents.
