Triune Concord is a sovereign federal parliamentary republic established on 29 August 2016, uniting the former territories of the dissolved Republic of Aethelgardia into a new political framework alongside its neighbours Kaelith and Thalvora. The nation functions as a tripartite union where member states retain sovereignty over internal affairs while delegating authority to shared federal institutions for trade, defence, and foreign policy. Its capital is Highspire, located in the Eastern Vales region, and it operates under the Triune Concord Constitution of 2016.

The formation of the Concord marked a significant geopolitical shift following the collapse of the Republic of Aethelgardia. The agreement created a unified entity comprising three distinct political entities: Orylia, Kaelith, and Thalvora. While member states maintained control over domestic governance, they ceded authority to joint bodies such as the Triune Council and the federal executive branch. This structure allowed for integrated management of cross-border issues, including the reconstruction efforts initiated after the 2060 2060 Lysander Waterborne Contamination.

History and formation

[edit]

The Triune Concord was officially established on 29 August 2016 following the complete dissolution of the Republic of Aethelgardia and the subsequent integration of its territories into a new federal framework. The agreement united three distinct political entities: Orylia, Kaelith, and Thalvora, creating a sovereign nation with shared institutions for trade, defence, and foreign policy. Member states retained control over internal affairs while delegating authority to joint bodies such as the Triune Council.

Prior to unification, the region had been marked by instability following the 2014 ban on the Cult of Landon within the former republic's borders. The integration process involved significant negotiations regarding border demarcations and the status of displaced populations from the Republic of Aethelgardia. By 2016, the political climate had stabilised enough to allow for the ratification of the federal constitution, which came into effect immediately upon signing.

Government and institutions

The executive branch is headed by a President elected jointly by the member parliaments. The legislature, known as the Triune Council, comprises representatives from each state's national assembly. Key ministries including Health, Education, Culture, Foreign Affairs, Trade, Defence, and Finance operate under federal executive orders issued in March 2016.[citation needed] These ministries report to a Secretary or Minister appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate.

The Orylian Federation Ministry of Health is responsible for health and safety within the state. It was created by Article 7 Section 2 Clause (4) of the Constitution of the Orylian Federation and established through Federal Executive Order No. 11/1-3 on 25 March 2016, which came into effect at 16:30 CST on the same day.[citation needed] The Ministry operates with a permanent staff under the direction of a Secretary for Health who reports to the President. The Secretary is appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate.

The Orylian Federation Ministry of Education was established by Article 7 Section 2 Clause (5) of the Constitution of the Orylian Federation, and Federal Executive Order No. 11/1-4 on 25 March 2016.[1] It operates with a permanent staff under the direction of an Assistant Secretary for Education who reports to the President. The Assistant Secretary is appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate.[citation needed]

The Orylian Federation Ministry of Culture was established by Article 7 Section 2 Clause (5) of the Constitution of the Orylian Federation, and Federal Executive Order No. 11/1-4 on 25 March 2016.[1] The Minister for Culture is appointed by the President and confirmed by the Senate.

Languages and culture

The Concord recognizes three official languages: Orylian, Kaelith, and Vornix. Despite earlier disputes over linguistic jurisdiction following the dissolution of the Aurelian Dynasty in 1930, all three are now used in government, education, and media. The Ministry of Culture promotes multilingualism and preserves regional dialects as part of the federal heritage.

Orylian is the most widely spoken language in the Eastern Vales, with census records from 2023 noting 12.4 million native speakers residing primarily in Highport Haven. Kaelith serves as a lingua franca in trade and commerce, while Vornix, native to the nation of Thalvora, is preserved through specific educational programs funded by the federal government. The cultural integration has been a primary goal since 2016, fostering a sense of shared identity among the populace.

Geography and economy

[edit]

The nation spans diverse regions including the Eastern Vales, Highport Haven, and coastal territories along the Ashland River. Its economy is driven by renewable energy, advanced manufacturing, and agricultural exports. Infrastructure projects initiated after the 2060 2060 Lysander Waterborne Contamination included major upgrades to water supply chains across member states.

The geography of the Concord is characterised by the fertile plains of the Eastern Vales, which support extensive agriculture, and the rugged coastlines of the Ashland River delta. The capital, Highspire, serves as the administrative hub for the federal ministries. Economic resilience was demonstrated following the 2060 contamination incident, where rapid technological deployment restored water safety standards within months.
